ELIZABETH GRILLO

Co-founder & Assistant Executive Director

Elizabeth Grillo is a native San Franciscan and lives in the bay area. Her eclectic exposure to the bay area has fueled her passion for the arts, especially film. Her production company, Afilla Productions, produces film and theatre productions.

Under the direction of Amir Jaffer, Elizabeth produced My Life in Dance released in 2015, and Open Circle released in 2018. Currently, both films are streaming on Amazon. She is the executive producer of upcoming films 50 anos de Oro, which chronologically takes viewers on a 50-year journey of Theatre Flamenco Of San Francisco, and Strings from My Heart, a documentary of the legendary flamenco guitarist, Juan del Gastor from Moron de la Frontera, Spain.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys dancing flamenco and producing films in the south of Spain. Furthermore, she has served on Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco’s board from 2014 to 2016. During her tenure with Theatre Flamenco, she helped organize and run multiple large and small flamenco theatrical performances throughout the year.
